A SOLIHULL Zumba instructor is hoping to raise £1,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer this weekend.
Emma Bates is hosting a charity Zumba Party, on Saturday, April 16, from 6.30pm onwards, at the Bardello dance and fitness venue, in Solihull.
All the cash raised by Emma will help Breakthrough Breast Cancer continue to fund groundbreaking research, campaign for better services and treatments, and raise awareness of breast cancer. Through this work, the charity passionately believes that the disease can be beaten, and that the fear of breast cancer can be removed for good.
Since Emma’s mother passed away from breast cancer in January 2009, the 25-year-old, from Sutton Coldfield, has been an active member of a Breakthrough Breast Cancer volunteer group, who will be attending the event and handing out breast cancer leaflets. Emma has organised a couple of events in memory of her mother, including a charity tea dance, featuring Strictly Come Dancing star, Camilla Dallerup.
Zumba Party tickets are £10 each – with all proceeds going to charity – and will sell on a first come first serve basis. Tickets are still available, but hurry to get yours now!
