£4.8 million load fund to help businesses in Solihull

THANKS to new support from the Regional Growth Fund, Unity Trust Bank and The Co-operative Bank, ART (Aston Reinvestment Trust) has £4.8 million to lend to small businesses in Solihull and Birmingham over the next three years.

THANKS to new support from the Regional Growth Fund, Unity Trust Bank and The Co-operative Bank, ART (Aston Reinvestment Trust) has £4.8 million to lend to small businesses in Solihull and Birmingham over the next three years.

The money is part of a package of funding announced by Business Secretary Vince Cable when he attended the Community Development Finance Association (CDFA) Conference in Solihull.

ART is the first CDFA member to have its portion of the money confirmed.

Steve Walker, chief executive, said: “Having had a record year for lending in 2011-12, we are delighted to have this new funding to enable us to support many more small businesses in our area in the year ahead.”
