HUNDREDS of people took part in a fund raising event organised by a Hall Green temple.
The annual charity fun run/walk is put together by the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir.
Starting at the temple in Pitmaston Road, the 10km trek was completed by 230 worshippers. The oldest person to conquer the course was 90-years-old, while the youngest was just two.
This year the beneficiaries include Acorns Children’s Hospice and The Anthony Nolan Trust.
Birmingham city councillor Paula Smith (Lib Dem, Hall Green) was among those to take part in Sunday’s event.
“Everything has been so well organised, but even more impressive is how this organisation brings members of the community together, while at the same time raising funds for a number of charities that are performing incredible work,” she said.
