A dirty business

I GO to Solihull town centre three or four times every week and have to use the disabled toilets. Frequently there is no soap, no working hand dryer or paper towels, nor toilet paper (I am told by friends that the same applies to other toilet facilities).

On one occasion I told the Environmental Health Department that one pub (now closed) had no hand dryer working for over two years. Their response was that as long as there was toilet paper available to dry your hands there was nothing that they could do. Only last week I went to a large store in the town centre and there was no soap and on the same day I visited Touchwood and again there was no soap in the disabled toilet. I told a member of staff but there was still no soap an hour later.

Where are the Environmental Health Officers? Have all these people who don’t wash their hands heard of hygiene or swine flu?
