BUCKET shakers will be out in force next month, raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
Now the charity’s Solihull branch is looking for fund raisers to help out with the annual Flag Day fund raiser.
The town centre event is on May 16 and the RNLI will be parking one of their vessels - a D Class Inshore Lifeboat in the high street.
Proceeds will go to funding the rescue service - which relies entirely on voluntary contributions.
The D Class craft - like the one visiting Solihull - costs £31,000, while the all-weather Tamar Class sets the charity back by £2.7m.
The Solihull branch is particularly looking for volunteers to cover the morning. If you are interested in helping out, call Clive Buckley, branch secretary, on 0121 608 1590 or email email@example.com.
