A SOLIHULL secondary school is looking for a new head - with a massive £100,000 salary on offer to the right person.
Grace Academy, which is based in Chelmsley Wood, is looking for a “dynamic and inspirational” leader to replace Bal Pierpoint.
On its website, the school says it is looking for “a proven team-player”, who can “challenge mediocrity in a direct but supportive and inclusive manner, helping and nurturing students and staff to be exceptional in all that they do”.
The ‘substantial salary package’ will include a performance related bonus and benefits.
Grace Academy has three academies in the West Midlands, with the non-selective Solihull one opening in 2006. With over 1,300 11-19-year-olds on its books, the school is heavily oversubscribed.
The academy is sponsored by multimillionaire businessman Bob Edmiston, who is thought to have a personal wealth of over £500million. Mr Edmiston, an evangelical Christian, has said his sponsorship was based on a selfless Christian desire to help those less fortunate. Closing date for applications for the job is midnight on January 13.
