BBC presenter Joanne Malin will be cutting the ribbon tomorrow, Saturday, to open Acorns’ 49th shop, its new Solihull boutique.
Acorns’ new boutique is ready for the grand opening at noon on Saturday June 25, with a range embracing high-end High Street clothing to designer wear with names such as Per Una, Next, Phase Eight, Viyella, Calico, Principles and Karen Millen.
Shoppers will be invited to look great at bargain prices, knowing they are helping the environment in buying previously-owned clothes, and providing vital funds to care for life limited children - including 17 now in Solihull.
Long-time Acorns supporter Joanne Malin, who hosts Mornings With Joanne Malin on BBC WM 95.6 fm, wants to help support the children through the new shop, packed with attractive ‘Fashion with a Conscience’ clothes, and books for reference and reading.
Joanne, who trekked the Grand Canyon to raise funds to help local Acorns children, said: “It is great to hear that Acorns is opening in such a prime location, near Touchwood. I am looking forward to opening the boutique, and helping the most vulnerable local children.”
Laura Latham, Acorns’ Area Retail Manager, said: “We are looking forward to seeing crowds of shoppers at Acorns’ Solihull who want to look their best – and do their best for local children and families.”
More volunteers are needed to help, and those who can spare a regular few hours are asked to call Acorns’ Lucy Phillips on 01564 82 5026.
