GREEN-fingered residents are being sought by Solihull Council to help plant a community woodland in Langley Hall Park.
Volunteers are needed to plant trees and shrubs to extend the current small woodland in the park on Sunday March 7 from 10am onwards in a bid to encourage birds and butterflies .
The park’s existing woodland is on the site of an old mill with bluebells and wood anemones growing under its oak and alder trees.
The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Norman Davies, will also be visiting the group during the morning.
All tools will be supplied and helpers are asked to wrap up warm and wear boots or wellingtons. Contact Gary Farmer on 0121 704 6537, email firstname.lastname@example.org or just turn up on the day.
