Apprentice star Nick Holzherr on track for Skills Show at the NEC

APPRENTICE star Nick Holzherr always wanted to be a train driver when he was younger, like many children.

APPRENTICE star Nick Holzherr always wanted to be a train driver when he was younger, like many children.

However, his new-found fame as runner-up in Lord Sugar’s BBC1 hit has helped him establish a business of a different kind in Birmingham – Whisk.co.uk, a website, which allows users to create online shopping lists based on recipes.

Nick, pictured having a go as a train driver at Moor Street Station, Birmingham, said: “I can still understand the appeal of wanting to be a train driver. Just being here has rekindled that dream but I’ll stick with my business plans.”

Nick was emulating what thousands of youngsters will be invited to do at The Skills Show at the NEC, Birmingham, from November 15 to 17 when they will be able to try their hands at many skills.
