AN OLTON woman found guilty of assaulting a police officer has been ordered to carry out a hundred hours of unpaid work.

AN OLTON woman found guilty of assaulting a police officer has been ordered to carry out a hundred hours of unpaid work.

Kelly Bell, 23, of Wells Green Road, was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in the early hours of Saturday February 18 outside the Assembly Rooms in Poplar Road, Solihull.

Solihull Magistrates Court heard she then kicked one of her arresting officers, PC Craig Bull, in the stomach as he tried to restrain her in the police car.

On Wednesday (May 9), she was sentenced to a community order with six months supervision, 100 hours’ unpaid work and ordered to pay £100 in compensation to the police officer. Bell was also told she must pay £310 in costs.
