‘NEW Labour’ have been writing their own version of history ever since they came to power in 1997. Remember when Tony Blair failed to attend the VE Day Commemorations in London with the excuse of forming a Cabinet? So it is not surprising that ‘New Labour’ have no sense of appreciation of the sacrifices made by our armed forces.

Soldiers serving ‘Queen and country’ should expect and receive, regardless of anyone’s beliefs or politics, the respect and support of all those that they serve. Not like a ‘Dads Army’ having to train without the proper equipment and weaponry for the task that is facing them, before going to war.

This is hardly ‘Gordon of Khartoum’ stuff. More like ‘Gordon of Fiscals’.

What do the Americans think of this as they always seem to keep to their own way of doing things without the least chance of compromising their own troops.
