A SERIAL bag snatcher who preyed on elderly women has been warned by a judge that he faces a lengthy prison term.

A SERIAL bag snatcher who preyed on elderly women has been warned by a judge that he faces a lengthy prison term.

Carl Jackson, 25, struck 11 times in 20 days, mainly in Chelmsley Wood, but also in Tile Cross and Sheldon, during September and October. His oldest victim was 91-years-old.

Jackson, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to four counts of robbery and asked for a further six muggings and a theft to be taken into consideration at Warwick Crown Court last Tuesday, October 19.

He was remanded in custody for sentencing on Thursday October 28.

Jackson’s mugging spree began on September 17 when he attacked a woman in Maytree Close, Chelmsley Wood.

He went on to rob nine more women including a 79-year-old using a walking aid

who he shoved

to the ground before grabbing her handbag.

Jackson was arrested on October 7 after pouncing on a pensioner in Craneberry Road, Chelmsley Wood.
