AN OLD-fashioned confectionary emporium featuring more than 230 jars of old-fashioned sweets and 23 varieties of homemade fudge has opened at Hatton Shopping Village, near Solihull.

The shop is co-owned by Balsall Common mum of four Debbie Bloxham who runs it with business partner Ron Vizard whose wife Angela helps make the fudge.

She said: “I always wanted to run my own business and knew it had to do with creating something around a sense of nostalgia,” said Debbie, aged 50.

“We have lots of plans that dovetail in with Hatton Shopping Village’s late night winter seasonal openings.”
