YOUNGSTERS at Balsall Common Primary School certainly ‘banked ‘on success during a recent fundraising event when a Barclay’s Bank employee ran a children’s toy stall.
Ruth Reading has a child at the Station Road school and decided to pitch in, raising a huge £647 which her employer Barclays Community investment programme match funded pound for pound.
The mum said:“I really enjoyed running this stall and it is great that my employer matches the money I raise”.
Sue Butler Vice Chair of Balsall Common Primary School PTA added: “I would like to thank Barclays for their kind offer of fund matching at this event”.
In 2008, Barclays invested £52.2m in community projects around the world.
