A HOST of creative individuals will be showcasing their talents at Hatton Shopping Village, near Warwick, this weekend (November 7 and 8) as the popular attraction hosts its annual Christmas craft fayre.
Wood turners, jewellers and artists will be amongst some 20 creative designers hoping their creations will catch the eye of shoppers eager to bag some early Christmas gifts.
The event is being organised by Shona Perkins from Beading Crafty in Kenilworth, which sells beads from around the world and provides workshops for people keen to learn a new hobby.
Shona said: “People are becoming ever more interested in taking up craft hobbies and this event provides an ideal venue to show off what they have made, as well as giving shoppers the opportunity to buy something unique and special.
“Unlike many other ‘craft’ fayres, all our exhibitors must have made the majority of their products themselves which ensures buyers are getting true craft items.”
Marketing manager Carol Blower said: “Hatton has strong ties with the craft industry, having once been the largest craft village in Britain.
“Last year’s fayre was extremely successful and we’re hoping to see even more visitors supporting local craftspeople this year and with more than 20 independent shops and local retailers at the site, there are plenty more opportunities to pick up gifts for Christmas.”
The event will run from 10am until 5pm and admission is free.
Hatton Shopping Village, at Hatton Country World, is located just off the A4177 between Warwick and Solihull.
