FANTASTIC fundraiser “Blind” Dave Heeley has thrown his support behind borough charity Solihull Life Opportunities (SoLO).

FANTASTIC fundraiser “Blind” Dave Heeley has thrown his support behind borough charity Solihull Life Opportunities (SoLO).

The local celebrity, who recently carried the Olympic Torch and has raised millions of pounds for good causes, has got involved with the charity’s Zip Wire and Zumba event on June 24.

Midlands Today’s Nick Owen will also be involved at the event, taking place at Meriden’s Heart Park.

Fifty SoLO supporters will be flying across the lake on the zipwire, while a 100 more will “strut their stuff” in a Zumba session.

Monies raised from this event will help to ease the predicted £95,000 deficit for the coming year and ensure that SoLO is able to deliver all its planned services.
