SCHOOL days are supposed to be the happiest days of our lives.
This was certainly the case for Simon Ledbrook who has not missed a single day at Oaklands School in eight years.
Simon joined the school's nursery in 1999 aged three and was commended in a celebration event this week, for his impressive 100 per cent attendance record.
The 10-year-old was brought up by his grandparents, William and Georgette Jones, who said they were determined that Simon
should maintain his outstanding record for the whole eight years of primary education.
The proud family hope his amazing achievement will continue when he joins Ninestiles Secondary School in September.
Oaklands head teacher Miss Diane Worland said: "This is an amazing record, of which Simon and his grandparents can be very proud.
"Throughout his primary education, Simon has taken part in every additional opportunity, and goes to secondary school with good foundations for the future." ..SUPL:
