Brave duo jumping for joy to raise school cash

A COUPLE of local girls will be jumping out of a plane to raise money for a Balsall Common special school.

A COUPLE of local girls will be jumping out of a plane to raise money for a Balsall Common special school.

Jenny Lowe, a tutor at The Island Project, will be teaming up with her friend Maria Patty and together the fearsome twosome will be doing a parachute jump

Maria said: “We want to raise as much money as possible and this seemed a good way to do it.”

The Island Project - which teaches youngsters with autism - opened its doors last year. The school was the brainchild of best friends Jacqui Walters-Hutton and Carol Howe.

Jacqui, the school’s director, is delighted that the two girls have literally leapt into the fund raising spirit.

If you would like to sponsor Jenny and Maria go to www.theislandproject.co.uk or e-mail to mgt@theislandproject.co.uk.
