A NEW support group has been set up to raise funds and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The group was partly inspired by local girl Ellie Brown, a lively 12-year-old who has the condition.
Jan Stanway, one of the founding members, said: “One in 25 Britons carries the defective gene [which causes Cystic Fibrosis]. Whilst significant advances have been made in the treatment of CF sufferers, further funding will always be necessary to continue research.”
Now the members are gearing up to host their inaugural fund raiser - taking place on November 27. The seeoffcf evening will have a Christmas theme and will feature dinner, live music and a charity auction.
It will take place at Dorridge Village Hall and tickets are available from Jan on 0121 744 4424 or 07710037619.
