BUDDING young stars of stage and screen are invited to Solihull College tomorrow to get a taste of life under the spotlight.

Four taster workshops for people aged 14-16 will be held at the college on Blossomfield Road between 10am and 1pm on Saturday March 3, as part of its Performing Arts Industry Day in conjunction with Dancescape.

The workshops, each lasting twenty minutes, cover contemporary, street and generic dance as well as singing, and visitors can also learn about the Performing Arts courses on offer at the college.

Rebekah Hartwell, Programme Leader for Performing Arts at Solihull College, said: “We are holding the Industry Day to give young people interested in the performing arts a real insight into the types of activities they’ll take part in at college, as well as the various career opportunities open to them once they leave.”
