SILHILLIANS with Irish backgrounds are invited to join a new family history group.
The group organised by local resident, Phyllis Davies, and supported by Solihull Council, will meet at 10am on February 15 at Solihull Central Library and aims to help people research their Irish heritage.
Free access to the Ancestry website is available from any of the library’s computers which allows visitors to look at a huge range of information.
Cabinet member for community services, Councillor Graham Craig said: “The new group will give a helping hand to those who want to learn more about their Irish heritage.”
Phyllis Davies added: “I’ve been researching my family tree for a few years and have found it a really addictive hobby. I am looking forward to helping others get started and advance their research.”
