Business network in Solihull marks first anniversary

A NETWORKING group for the owners of small businesses is on the lookout for new members as it marks its first anniversary.

The Solihull branch of the Nationwide Alliance of Business Owners launched in June 2011 to offer networking opportunities, help and advice for business owners in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Since then, it has held regular fortnightly meetings which are a mix of traditional networking, discussion and business education.

Group leader Jean Maund said: “NABO is the fastest-growing business networking organisation in the country and the model is very different to some other well-known groups. Our members get results in terms of business referrals but we are less formal than some networking set-ups.

“Members of the Solihull group include photographers, computer experts, life coaches, an acupuncturist, accountants, website designers, PR people and so on. It’s a very eclectic mix.”

NABO Solihull meets every other Friday from 7.30am-9.30am at the St John’s Hotel in Warwick Road, Solihull. For more information on how to attend a meeting or to join the group, go to www.nabo-solihull.co.uk or contact Jean Maund on 0121-288-7384.
