Cadet’s award

AIR Cadet Rowan Dudas, aged 15 from 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) Squadron recently won an award from the Royal Air Force Association.

AIR Cadet Rowan Dudas, aged 15 from 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) Squadron recently won an award from the Royal Air Force Association.

The award was in recognition of Rowans individual commitment to raise £51.48 of charitable funds for the Royal Air Force Association.

Rowan spent a day in Solihull Town centre along with other cadets thanking Solihull shoppers as they donated to such a great charity.

The ceremony, which was held at the Royal British Legion branch in Shirley last week, was attended by other collectors from the Air Training Corps and RAF Association and patrons of the charity.

Officer Commanding Jo Coles, 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) Squadron said: “Rowan is a great example of young citizenship in today’s society. He should be extremely proud of his achievement, as we are of him. Well done.”
