Cancer cash boost is cream in their coffee

STAFF at the npower offices in Solihull are delighted by news that the company is to donate £108,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The borough branch was one of many to support the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning – which took place last September. In total the company raised £54,000, an amount which the management has agreed to match.

The sum is enough to fund one of the charity’s rehabilitation teams for a whole 12 months.

Emily Leggett, of Macmillan, said “This is a fantastic achievement. Thank you to everyone at npower for this absolutely staggering contribution. I cannot express how much of a difference this will make to the lives of the people we help.

“To give you an idea, £105,333 would fund one of Macmillan’s new rehabilitation support teams for a whole year. They are based in the community and provide a range of rehabilitation support, such as physiotherapy and advice on diet, to people living with cancer.”
