A cancer sufferer on a trial drug to treat her condition has been told her tumour has stabilised.

Jenny Lanfermeijer, who describes herself as ‘living with cancer,’ has been throwing her energies into raising money for charity following her diagnosis in 2009.

The 67-year-old from Bentley Heath was put on the trial drug known as ‘magic bullets,’ which are designed to tackle the cancer.

“I heard last week that the cancer has stabilised. It’s just such a difference from what I was like two and a half years ago, when I didn’t know whether I was going to pull through.”

Earlier this year Jenny raised over £700 for Marie Curie and now she is turning her efforts towards Macmillan.

Jenny will be holding a party dance at Bentley Heath Community Centre on Saturday, December 15 from 7.30-11.30pm.

For tickets, which cost £3, call Jenny on 07592806986.
