Meriden MP Caroline Spelman has officially submitted her petition addressing the lack of compensation for residents blighted by years of HS2 construction work.
The deadline for the petitions to be submitted to the HS2 Hybrid Bill Select Committee was May 23.
The MP said: “The HS2 Hybrid Bill petitioning process enables those who would be directly and specifically affected by the project to have an input into the Bill. A lot of hard work went into putting these petitions together and I was glad to assist residents in this process.
“I have also submitted my own petition, asking for compensation for blight caused by construction works.”
