POLICE have released CCTV images of a man suspected of buying a £200 gift card with a bank card stolen from an NEC health club locker.
Security cameras show the man in New Look on Erdington’s Fort Parkway shopping park, where he bought a £200 gift card and almost £170 worth of clothes with the stolen card.
Less than 24 hours later, the voucher was used at an Outfit store in Merseyside, by a woman with distinctive long dark pigtails.
The locker theft is believed to have happened late afternoon on Monday June 27, the New Look purchases made later that evening, and the card redeemed throughout Tuesday June 28.
Investigating officer PC Katie Morris, said: “The woman seen using the card may have done so innocently not realising it had been bought using a stolen bank card.
“If so I’d encourage her to come forward so we can eliminate her from our enquiries.”
The man is described as white, in his mid 30s, of a medium build, around 6ft tall with short light hair; he was wearing a short-sleeved white shirt and dark grey trousers.
The woman is said to be white, aged in her 20s, of a slim build, quite tall with long dark hair worn in pigtails. She was wearing a grey vest top and was carrying a large, distinctive red Juicy Couture handbag.
