SOLIHULL students who can’t afford to go to university now have the chance thanks to a new degree sponsorship programme from online learning specialist Resource Development International (RDI).

The scheme will provide five free places on selected degree courses via online learning for successful applicants who find the high costs of traditional campus study prohibitive or wish to study flexibly.

Launched to celebrate RDI’s 20th anniversary, potential students will be able to choose from a University of Wales degree course in business, business finance, business banking or business marketing.

Dr Philip Hallam, chief executive of RDI said: “We know from our current students that more and more want to adopt a modern and flexible online approach to studying their degree which fits with their lifestyle and allows them to remain in employment rather than incurring the high debts associated with traditional campus-based study.”

Entry details can be found at www.rdi.co.uk/sponsor . Applicants must be based in the UK and the deadline is February 15 2010. Successful applicants will be notified by March 8 2010.
