Chance to remember

ACOCKS Green has become the latest neighbourhood to get its own Tree of Thought.

ACOCKS Green has become the latest neighbourhood to get its own Tree of Thought.

Every year, Macmillan Cancer Support plants a sparkling spruce at sites around the Midlands. The charity is already hosting trees in Solihull, Shirley and Chelmsley Wood town centre and now they’ve added Acocks Green to the list.

This latest tree will be planted at the Warwick Road supermarket, with the lights switched-on early next month

Eloise Davidson, fund raising manager, said: “I’m really pleased that Sainsburys have decided to support our Christmas campaign.

“We have been working together on various fund raising events this year after being chosen as their Charity of The Year and their support will make such a difference to our Christmas campaign and such a lovely way for their customers to remember their loved ones”

To sponsor a light on one of the trees - with proceeds going to Macmillan - call 0121 742 6393 or email birmingham@macmillan.org.uk.
