SOLIHULL Acorns store has celebrated its first birthday.

SOLIHULL Acorns store has celebrated its first birthday.

The town centre charity shop, based in Station Road, offered shoppers a slice of birthday cake on June 25 to commemorate a year of trading, raising money for children with life-limiting illnesses.

Acorns’ area retail manager Emma O’Neill said: “Acorns does not charge families for using hospice services but it does cost £750 per day for each child’s care.”

She also urged locals to donate any unwanted clothes and bric-a-brac to the branch.
