A DRIVER found with £180 worth of cannabis in his boot has admitted possession of a Class B drug.

Police had discovered the bag of drugs when they searched Jamie Corcoran’s Vauxhall Corsa, while on patrol in Solihull on November 14. The 26-year-old, of Lyecroft Avenue, Chelmsley Wood, claimed the drugs were for his own use and he spent £180 most weeks.

Sanjit Sanghara, defending, said: “He tells me he has been using cannabis for several years.”

Corcoran, whose last drugs conviction was in 2006, was ordered to pay £305 in fines and costs.
