A signed England shirt has sold for £600 at a charity auction after it was donated to a Hall Green sports clinic.

Goalkeeping legend Peter Shilton handed the jersey to Osteopath John Williams at Atlas Sports Injury Clinic, who decided to put it up for sale.

The proceeds from the shirt went to Just 1 Life, a charity that raises money to help premature babies and their parents.

Shilton still holds the record for being England’s most capped player with 125 appearances and is a regular client of the clinic after a personal recommendation by Solihull’s former Coventry City footballer David Busst.
