SOLIHULL’s Job Club had a great start last Friday when local people looking for work got together to improve their chances of employment success.

Maggie Throup, the Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Solihull, facilitated the ‘Keeping Solihull Working Job Club’ for anyone looking for a job and who lives in the B90, B91 and B92 post code areas.

“The Job Club had a really good start and by the end of the afternoon everyone was participating and giving advice to each other,” she said. “This is what job clubs are about – providing an opportunity for people to build and expand their networks as research shows the best way to find another job is through friends, family or social networks.”

If you would like to attend the weekly meetings or are interested in volunteering your experience, contact Maggie Throup on 0121 711 2955 or 07798 582 398 or e-mail maggie@maggiethroup.com for more information.
