One of England’s leading netball players will be dropping into Solihull next month to pass on the tricks of her trade.
Former England captain Olivia Murphy will lead a special coaching session for Elmdon Junior Netball Club at Solihull College on November 11. The Elmdon girls will benefit from an intense session packed full of drills to develop skills for the game.
Capped 95 times for her country, Olivia now plays and coaches at National Super League club Loughborough Lightning.
Club spokesperson Alice Davey said: “We are sure our girls will be impressed and inspired by Olivia. She has an amazing track record as both a player and coach at the highest levels, and we are delighted to offer our young players such a boost to their netball development.”
Elmdon run five squads for more than 100 girls with training at Alderbrook School and Solihull College plus Lode Heath School & Sports College. The club accepts girls from Year 5 with the chance to compete in the Birmingham Indoor League from Year 6 upwards.
