Solihull Council has extended the period of time that people can comment on the Parkgate planning application.
People now have until 8 October to formally register their comments on the application to regenerate Shirley town centre.
The move comes following a computer glitch that effectively switched off the online “comment” facility earlier than the original deadline of 13 September.
Cllr Ian Hedley, Leader of Solihull Council, said: “It is unfortunate that this has happened, and we recognise that some people may not have been able to make their comments, and so have extended the deadline. This will not in any way affect the planning process. And even if people miss this extended deadline, it is important to know that they can make a comment right up to the day of the planning meeting, which will be taken as late submissions at the meeting.”
The planning application can be viewed online at www.solihull.gov.uk/planningservices application number 2010/1260.
