Crime victims receive hamper from Shirley Round Table

SHIRLEY Round Table joined forces with police to give victims of crime a special gift this Christmas.

SHIRLEY Round Table joined forces with police to give victims of crime a special gift this Christmas.

Local neighbourhood policing teams delivered mouth-watering hampers to 24 victims who had previously been subject to serious anti-social behaviour and distraction burglaries.

“We hope this small gesture helped bring some comfort following a difficult time they have experienced,” a police spokesperson said.

The funds for the hampers were raised by Shirley Round Table’s Santa Sleigh Collection.

Chairman James Pick said: “It is a real pleasure to know that we can help in a small way, those who have had a tough time this year.

“Thank you to all those who supported our Sleigh Collection.”
