Daft Solihull drivers are asking for trouble

I HAD to rub my eyes in disbelief when I heard from the police that four cars had been stolen in Shirley - left unattended while the owners nipped inside while their vehicles defrosted.

How daft can you get? Every year this happens - the cops have even started early morning patrols to warn drivers of the dangers, finding 50 cars left with their engines running.

No wonder Solihull on a frosty morning has become a happy hunting ground for thieves.

Expensive cars, daft drivers and the opportunity to make off with them. Gone in 60 seconds? not even that.

Worse still, likely as not insurance companies won’t pay out for any damage done either to or by the vehicle.

Solution? Buy a scraper - clearing off the frost keeps you warm enough.
