Developer seeks views on housing

MERIDEN residents will have the chance to voice their views on a housing development on Maxstoke Lane.

MERIDEN residents will have the chance to voice their views on a housing development on Maxstoke Lane.

Residential developer David Wilson Homes is to hold a public exhibition of its future plans on Friday before a planning application is submitted to Solihull Council.

The proposals, if approved, seek to transform the existing site with a development featuring private and affordable homes.

At this stage it is unclear how many homes are planned to be built as well as their size and value.

Jon Rowson, from David Wilson Homes said: “We are keen to consult with the local community over our plans for the future of the site and encourage all those that are interested to attend the exhibition so they can view and discuss our preliminary proposals.

“The exhibition is a valuable opportunity for us to receive feedback from residents which, where possible, will be fed into the final scheme prior to its submission.”

The company is also involved in providing new sports and leisure facilities on Hampton Lane/Main Road, which have already been approved.

The exhibition of David Wilson Homes’ plans will be at Meriden Village Hall tonight, Friday June 5, from 4pm to 8pm.
