A YOUNG Boxer cross who has lost half her body weight from the stress of staying in kennels is looking for a new home.
Holly’s misfortune started when her loving owner’s eyesight deteriorated and he became a candidate for a guide dog.
The eight-year-old bitch was a loved member of the family and had been with them since she was a pup, but she had to be rehomed, because she wasn’t keen on other dogs.
Solihull based charity DogwatchUK took her in and she has been in kennels for weeks waiting for a permanent home.
Charity spokeswoman Katrina Wright said: “Poor Holly is a lovely girl, very nice mannered and superb with small children.
“She was a little overweight when she first came to us but in a matter of weeks she has lost half her bodyweight due to the stress of being in kennels, so we are appealing for a foster or permanent home for her urgently.”
