A SHIRLEY GP is set to appear before a disciplinary panel accused of “dishonesty” over information about her qualifications.
Dr Kumud Dunn, a doctor at Haslucks Medical Centre in Haslucks Green Road, Shirley, is accused of allowing a practice website to state she was a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and had a Bachelor of Science when she was neither.
The 43-year-old, lives in Warwick and her 45-year-old husband Matthew is an A&E consultant at Warwick Hospital.
She is also a postgraduate trainer for NHS West Midlands health authority.
Dr Dunn is also a former board member at Solihull Care Trust.
Now the General Medical Council (GMC) has ordered Dr Dunn to attend a fitness to practise hearing.
A GMC spokesman said: “The panel will inquire into the allegation that Dr Dunn did not ensure that information published on a practice website was factually accurate.
“It is that during the period the entry appeared, she was neither a Bachelor of Science nor a Member of the Royal College of Physicians.
“It is further alleged that Dr Dunn’s conduct was misleading and dishonest.”
If the claims are found against her, Dr Dunn could face punishments including a warning on her medical record.
GMC proceedings into her case were adjourned in December with a new hearing date to be set later this year.
