BEING a mother of two small children I have been reading with great interest the recent letters with regard to Sainsbury’s decision to fine customers who park in the designated parent and child car parking spaces when not entitled to do so.
I would like to know why the car parking restrictions are being enforced upon customers and not some members of staff.
When visiting the store early one morning the week before last I noticed one of the security guards parking his car in a restricted area immediately next to the pedestrian crossing and the blue badge space that is nearest to the store.
Subsequent I have seen the same car parked in exactly the same place.
I would strongly suggest to the manager of the store that if they wish their customers to comply with the parking regulations then their staff should also.
