Dog attack leads to hefty fine for owner

A DOG-owner whose pet attacked a walker has been ordered to pay almost £1000 by Solihull Magistrates.

A DOG-owner whose pet attacked a walker has been ordered to pay almost £1000 by Solihull Magistrates.

Annabelle Hill, 23, of Hob Lane, Balsall Common, was prosecuted for not keeping her four German Shepherds under control.

Last Wednesday (December 14), magistrates fined Hill £700 and ordered her to pay another £250 in costs.

The case went to court after Solihull Council received complaints from locals that dogs kept escaping from her home.

On September 30, a woman out walking with her husband was attacked by one of the animals and received a nasty bite to her leg.

An ambulance was called and the injured walker required hospital treatment.

On other occasions, the German Shepherds had chased and hurt other dogs.

The court had previously ordered Hill to keep her dogs inside a compound at Beanit Farm Livery Yard.

When they’re taken out, they must be kept on a lead at all times.
