Comedian, writer, and actor, Alexei Sayle, is coming to Solihull at the end of the month to give an author talk.
The Scouse funnyman will come to the Arts Complex Theatre on Thursday, September 30, to read passages from his as-yet unfinished memoir of his teenage years, ‘Stalin ate my homework.’
He will also tell anecdotes from his career in showbiz, and answer questions from the audience.
There will also be opportunities for book signing after the show, which is suitable for all ages, although some swearing is possible.
The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 (£9 concessions) and groups can buy 10 tickets for the price of nine.
Popular tribute act Barry Walker’s Smackee return to the borough with their Phantom and the Musicals show, on Saturday, October 2, at 7.30pm.
The band will take in songs from Les Miserables, West Side Story, Calamity Jane, Evita, Grease, Chicago, and Mamma Mia, to name but a few.
Tickets cost £17, and groups can purchase 10 tickets for the price of nine.
Fans of Joe Brown can catch the Rock ‘n’ Roll legend on Thursday, October 7, and Friday, October 8, at 7.30pm.
Joe has achieved an outstanding number of accolades throughout his career, including a gold record for sales of his 50th anniversary collection – The Very Best Of, selling out the Royal Albert Hall, an Outstanding Contribution to Music Award from MOJO magazine plus his MBE.
Tickets cost £20, but are selling out fast.
