BOROUGH-born Dorothy Humphries got her birthday card from the Queen last Monday (November 8).
Family and friends travelled to Willow Grange Home, in Olton, to mark the special day
Born in 1910, at a holding farm in Bakers Lane, Knowle – Dorothy married her husband Alfred at the parish church.
During the Second World War, she worked at Land Rover and also made components for aeroplanes. Nikki Pudney, care home manager, said: “Dorothy has been here for about three years. We really wanted to make a fuss of her on her special birthday.”
