A DRIVER caught using her mobile phone on the motorway was having an argument with her boyfriend at the time, Solihull Magistrates heard.

A DRIVER caught using her mobile phone on the motorway was having an argument with her boyfriend at the time, Solihull Magistrates heard. Chereen Malcolm, 25, was caught by police on the M6 on July 9 by Solihull.

She had had an argument with her boyfriend and was trying to sort things out. The defendant, of Fern Hills Close, Great Barr, pleaded guilty and received three points on her licence, a £60 fine and ordered to pay £40 costs.
