FITNESS fanatic Enzo Cucchiara is edging closer to his fund raising target after completing the Great North Run last week.
The owner of Enzo Hair Salon in Dorridge recently signed a four-year membership to help support Motor Neurone disease.
And after becoming addicted to running, following a forced entry into last year's Knowle Fun Run, Enzo took part in the gruelling 13-mile trek.
"It was actually great fun and a really good experience," he said.
"The weather was beautiful as well. It was a hot and sunny so what more could you ask for."
Over 52,000 people took part in the event in Newcastle and Enzo was pleased to record a respectable time of 1.56.00
The popular hairdresser wanted to put something back into the Motor Nuerone charity after his father passed away from the disease when he was just 14-years-old.
And reaching the £5,000 target that the charity set would show just how dedicated he is.
"I have to thank all the customers who have helped me raise a considerable amount for the charity so far. I can't believe their generosity.
"But there is still three weeks to collect all the money and it would be great to have one final push."
To help Enzo reach his target you can visit the salon on Station Road or call him at work on 01564 776477.
