Eyes down for reading week in Touchwood centre

Touchwood is busy preparing for National Children’s Book Week, which promises to bring an exciting series of storytelling events to book-loving children from across the region.

TOUCHWOOD shopping cnetre in Solihull is busy preparing for National Children’s Book Week, which promises to bring an exciting series of storytelling events to book-loving children from across the region.

From Monday to Friday October 4-8, Build-a-Bear, the Disney Store and the Solihull Arts Centre will be enthralling children with “stories from around the world” by a variety of much-loved characters.

With tales taken from family favourites, Touchwood’s reading week is guaranteed to be a thoroughly thrilling literary event that stimulates the imagination of its young audience. And with several special appearances, including Build-a-Bear’s mascot Bear ‘Emy’, young book lovers will be sure to be entertained.

Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, comments: “Reading is a vital life skill as well as a rewarding, fun experience for young children. Our reading week offers the perfect introduction into the world of stories and will hopefully encourage a real passion for books and writing.”
