FED-UP Castle Bromwich residents will find out next month whether a booze ban and an anti-social dispersal zone will be set up in their parish.
For months furious locals have been fighting for action to help stop troublemakers ruining the area.
But their wait could be over as early as November 3 if Solihull Council officials agree to implement the schemes.
Parish councillors have backed residents and called for a dispersal zone around the Village Green and the War Memorial.
They also called for a new alcohol restriction order and for extra moveable cameras to target the youngsters who are causing the problems.
A council meeting back in July was attended by a large number of Castle Bromwich residents and they were shocked to hear the police say that dispersal zones 'were not needed'.
Parish councillor Jackie Ward said that the number of people who were at the meeting signalled how big of an issue for people this is."We certainly need something to be done.
"Anti-social behaviour is a problem across Castle Bromwich and residents and council-lors are united in trying to fight it.
"They are fed up with groups of youths causing trouble, sometimes until 2am.
"The biggest problem area is around the Village Green, close to the Coach and Horses pub. We hope they can support the councillors and residents."
A spokeswoman for Solihull Council said: "The council is currently putting together a report on the proposals from the parish council that will be heard by the governance committee on November 3.
"The committee will consider both the request for an alcohol restriction order and the reinstatement of a dispersal zone on that date."
