Festival offerings to suit different tastes

On Saturday September 18, tribute band The Bootleg Shadows will be entertaining audiences with Shadows’ hits including Apache, Foot Tapper, Man of Mystery and Atlantis while Monday September 20 will see a performance from three local dance groups - Hi-Bri’s Dance Studio, Phillipa’s School of Dance and Elena’s Rhythmic Gymnasts.

Things get jazzed up on Tuesday September 21 when the multi-award winning Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra and special guest Eleanor Keenan come to the Arts Complex.

On Wednesday evening, popular scenes, duets and arias from the world of opera and operetta will be wowing crowds with Opera - The Best Bits and on Friday night there is The Space Odic Samurai on September 24.

The new group, made up of members from 80s band China Doll, will be performing original songs and classic rock, soul and jazz covers infused with Celtic and Oriental rhythms for people to enjoy.

Rounding off the week on Saturday 25 September see Todd Miller with The Joe Loss Orchestra and Singers. The band will perform music from artists including Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Ray Charles, Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand.
