A STRING quartet of teenage musicians and the Solihull Choral Society are among the many bands and choirs performing at John Lewis Solihull this Christmas.

The Conspirito String Quartet join a group from Dorridge Music School, the City of Birmingham Choir and Knowle Male Voice Choir, among others, to entertain customers in the Touchwood store during December.

“Live music is fast becoming a tradition at John Lewis Solihull,” said Yvonne Pugh, Department Manager for Furnishing Fabrics where many of the performances will take place.

“Our customers love the fact that it’s live and very traditional,” she said “and our partners love it because it adds a real festive spirit to the store.”

All the performances this year will take place near cushions, on the ground floor. This year’s programme also includes, on Sunday December 13, a special Beanbag Proms for children, which involves three jazz musicians from a Derby-based orchestra.
